I’m a British-Australian fiction writer of stuff, viewed through a whimsical lens. After years doing all sorts of business and professional writing I started making things up seven years ago during a long convalescence. Somehow the thought of going back to editing the fifty page ATO Report into dot points had lost its allure.

I’ve written a monthly column called Life’s Rich Pattern for the Village Observer, Lane Cove’s long running local paper, for six years. On issues that really matter, like what to do when you forget your shopping bags. A few features and interviews here and there as well. You can read some of my past columns here.

Fun fact #1 – I went to Live Aid. I briefly enjoyed mild kudos from my family when the Bohemian Rhapsody movie came out.

Fun Fact #2 – I’ve done a bungy jump. Yes it was terrifying.

Fun Fact#3 – I was the original Fairy Liquid TV commercial girl but refused to wear the witch’s hat so was dropped (also why wasn’t my real Mum in the commercial and who was this other lady who looked young enough to be my sister?)
